Memorials
The Arc Nature Coast accepts donations given in honor, or in memory, of an individual or organization. We provide appropriate notice and recognition, as well as acknowledgement to the donor. Remembrance can be in the form of restricted or unrestricted gifts. Donors should notify The Arc Nature Coast of the fact that the gift is in honor of, or in memory of an individual or organization, with the name and address of the person(s) to be notified. Donations of this type are often used in lieu of flowers or gifts at special occasions.
Cash
A gift of cash, in the form of a check, is the most popular way people contribute to The Arc Nature Coast. A cash gift is deductible on your tax return in the year the gift is made.
Generally, the higher your tax rate, the greater your savings.
Appreciated Stock or Other Property
Giving appreciated assets to The Arc Nature Coast allows you to avoid capital gains tax on appreciated portion if you had sold the asset. In most cases, you will be entitled to deduct
the full fair market value, assuming the asset has been held long term.
Insurance
The Arc Nature Coast accepts gifts of life insurance – existing or new policies. Transferring ownership of an existing insurance policy and making The Arc Nature Coast the owner/beneficiary provides an income tax deduction. Premiums still being paid are also deductible.
Trusts and Wills
There are many simple ways to include The Arc Nature Coast in your will or trust. There are types of trusts that pay you income for life. When considering changes to your estate plan, we encourage you to consult your financial advisor for information on these types of planned gifts.
